The 716 Drain

Today Calypso and I hit four spots in Rhode Island, starting with All Saints Drain. Afterwards, we headed over to the nearby 716 Drain, rain boots and all. The drain is actually not entirely a drain; storm water does flow into it, but it is primarily an extended underground stretch of the Moshassuck River. It is composed of two "hallways" through which the river is split, with doorways between the two along its length. On the right hallway (if one enters from the cemetery), there is a smaller area which leads to a few different drain outflows off of a main room.

Looking back from the drain.

Accidental blur here that I used to my advantage.

A massive spider web I found.

Fish! There were many of them swimming along in some sections.

Entrance to the little room off the side.
